Access Ramp for Miss Colonna Nelson

Oklahoma City
August 28, 2026
1 ramp built • Lowe's discount • Community funded

We had the privilege of building an access ramp for Miss Colonna Nelson, made possible by a steep materials discount from Lowe's and gifts from partners who believe in this work.

Finished wooden access ramp with volunteers standing beside it in front of Miss Colonna Nelson's home

The Story

Today we had the ultimate privilege of building an access ramp for Miss Colonna Nelson. A huge thank you to Eric Pappano and Kelly from Lowe's for helping us with a big discount on materials, which made this project possible. The only way Open Vessels is able to help our community and complete projects like this is through donations. We would also like to thank Catalyst Behavioral Services for their donation to Open Vessels, and Oklahoma Ceiling Systems and Drywall for their contributions as well. Thank you to Eric Starnes and Jeremy Barber for showing up and getting it done.
