Rapid Response to a Neighbor in Need
I want you to know how amazing Open Vessels is. I have a neighbor across the street from me and he is a double amputee. He has other medical issues as well. He's a sweetheart. He approached the man that mows my lawn but he's already booked for the season. Well, I approached Joey at church on Sunday to see if he could help my 71 year old neighbor with his lawn. He stated that his son, Harold helps Open Vessels out with mowing over the summer time. I gave Joey my address and a picture of my neighbors house on Sunday afternoon. They showed up on early Monday morning and mowed his lawn for him. Leroy and his daughter were so blessed by their act of kindness. THANK YOU OPEN VESSELS!

Years of Service Without Recognition
One of the best ways I can tell you how committed Open Vessels is to their community—is that they have been helping people for several years without recognition and applause. The leadership is dedicated to helping people in need, and going out of their way—with sacrifice to their personal lives—to do so.

A Mother's Home Restored
My wife's mom was poor, living in a rundown home, broken central heat and air, falling down fence, and overgrown yard. She's in her 80's, disabled, with cancer and two replaced hips. Open Vessels repaired her home so that it could be sold. She now lives nearby under our care. God Bless you—Open Vessels!

From Desperation to Hope

My name is Lindsey. I am 42 and a hard worker, but I find myself a mother in an unexpected and undesired divorce. As a single parent, I am currently struggling financially. When my hot water heater went out, I didn't know what to do. Some people describe me as a determined and capable "fix it gal" out of necessity. However, a gas heater is not something I have the know how to change. Due to health issues, I can not lift heavy items. Despite this, I still was trying to figure out how to afford to replace the heater and how to do some work myself.

I called Open Vessels, because it appeared there was not a shut-off valve on the unit itself. I needed help trying to find it. I found a brochure for Open Vessels at Ground 4 Compassion during a meeting. Open Vessels came to the rescue and said, "We are going to buy you a heater and install it." I was blown away. They didn't know that I literally had less than $2 in my bank account.

The Lord has provided all my needs after an abusive marriage, when I was terrified at how I was going to provide for my daughter. The men of Open Vessels are the hands and feet of Christ, and I thank them and every donor who makes their work possible.
